The Hamble River provides excellent shelter along with easy access to the waters of the Solent, and the Isle of Wight is just a few hours away. Hamble Point Marina is located right at the mouth of the River Hamble with easy access to the waters of the Solent. Cowes is just a few miles away and there are plenty of ports and harbours to explore within an easy day’s sail. As well as offering first class berthing and dry stack facilities, Hamble Point Marina is also a marine service centre with excellent maintenance and repair facilities for all types of boat. Stone Pier Marina is a 50 berth marina situated on the lower part of the River Hamble at Warsash operated by Marine Matters with a full service boat yard operated by RK Marine. Annual and overnight berths are available all year round. Facilities include toilets, showers, water and electricity.
Port Hamble Marina is located on the River Hamble just a few minutes walk from picturesque Hamble Village with its excellent range of pubs and restaurants. It offers easy access to the waters of the Solent and a wide range of ports and harbours within easy cruising distance. As well as first class pontoon berthing, facilities at Port Hamble Marina include a fuel berth, laundry and Wi-Fi. Contact on VHF Ch 80. Maximum LOA: 24m.
Situated in a sheltered wooded site just 20 minutes walk from Hamble Village, Mercury Yacht Harbour offers 360 berths for boats with deep water at all states of tide. As well as excellent facilities including a chandlery, bar and restaurant there is also easy access to Southampton Water and the Solent. Contact on VHF Ch 80. Maximum LOA: 24m.
Universal Marina is a family run marina set in tranquil surroundings on the River Hamble just 20 minutes from the river mouth. All berths are provided with power, water and WiFi and a range of marine services are offered by a diverse community of businesses. There is also a bistro on site.
Deacons Marina & Yard is located in Bursledon close to the well-known Jolly Sailor pub, a Hamble must-do. They have 130 berths alongside a busy boat yard and visitors are welcome provided there is space.
Swanwick Marina is set in the quiet upper reaches of the Hamble River but still offers 24 hour access to the Solent and beyond. The marina accommodates boats of all sizes in over 300 fully serviced berths and a dry stack service. Fuel and gas are available and there is also a holding tank pump out service as well as a wide range of marine services on site. Good restaurants and pubs can be found in the nearby village of Bursledon.
The River Hamble Harbour Authority, VHF Ch 68, manages a number of moorings for visitors as well as longer term berth holders at the following locations:
Warsash Jetty – short stays and overnight after 5pm with electricity included.
Hamble Jetty – short stays and overnight after 5pm but no power is available.
Visitor Pontoon – located mid-stream between blue piles B1 to B6. It may be booked in advance for rallies and events as well as short stays and overnight for individual yachts. Please note, no electricity is available.
Longer stays of up to 2 months in the summer and up to 6 months in the winter are also permitted for visiting yachts.
